On the Operator plan, where you are the only one using it while the rest of the crew still signs the bound book, CertaQ is your personal record of your own work, running alongside the plant's book, not replacing it. In most states, yes. Electronic records are legally equivalent to paper under federal and state law, and EPA already requires monitoring reports to be filed electronically. Florida is the main state that still defaults to a bound paper book by rule, but it allows a digital logbook with written approval from your regulator, and we can walk you through what that request looks like. Check your own state's rule before you retire paper.

No. Entries are append-only and hash-chained, so the record is locked in sequence and any after-the-fact change is detectable. Corrections go in as new entries, the original stays visible.

Your data is yours. You can export your full logbook and lab history as CSV or JSON, and for 90 days after you cancel you can still pull an export before anything is deleted.

No. Your permit, lab data, logbook, and chats are not used to train AI models, and the AI providers we use are contractually barred from training on them. They are used only to answer your questions.

No. Each Expert reads your plant's permit, lab data, and logbook before it answers, so the guidance is specific to your plant. It recommends and explains. You make the call and stay the operator of record.

Yes. If there is no signal at the headworks, entries save on your phone and sync automatically once you are back online, so a dead zone never stops you from logging.
